Wal-Mart

Wal-Mart is a successful business in which they strive to provide you the items we all need at the bare minimum prices. They are more focused on selling more products for less revenue than fewer products at more revenue. They are able to create these low prices for numerous reasons. Some of these reasons are why people like Waal-Mart and others dislike it.
The first reason for low costs is what they call mass producing. They bring in numerous of the same item which helps lower the cost to bring in the product and that directly is related to the low costs of the items. People like the idea of having cheaper products but a large group of people find that when products are bought in such big groups that often times many of the products are wasted. Another factor is the quality of the products, because when you ask a company to mass produce an item and they give you a discount, it isn’t out of the question that they do not make the products to their potential. Some customers complain because they are forced to buy multiple of the same product, so in the long run they are forced to spend more money than they would have if they bought the product somewhere else. The most controversial aspect of Wal-Mart is their involvement with China. As we know China hires workers for minimal pay. Some workers are paid a few cents per hour. This is how they are able to sell the products to the United States for such low prices. Many people refuse to buy from Wal-Mart for the reason that they do not believe in sweatshops. Also, many buyers hate the idea that China is taking jobs away from Americans because our quality of life, which is the amount of goods and services we need to live a healthy life, is so high that we cannot compete with some of their prices. Salve labor is something we do not condone but in China they are a communist country so their ruler determines how the people work and how much they make. These are some of the basic reasons why Wal-Mart is an unattractive business to most buyers.
I personally do not support slave labor but I do tend to buy from Wal-Mart. As a college student money is hard to come buy so I am always looking for deals to save every dollar I can. I do want them to find a way to use more American products to keep jobs here and help diminish the sweatshops.

http://www.walmart.com/ is the offical site, where you can find some deals for yourself.
