Coca Cola Marketing

Coca Cola has an extremely strong marketing plan and many different advertising campaigns.  In the video it said that people are impulse shoppers and decide what they are going to get within the first five seconds of looking.  Coca Cola has become such an icon in the beverage industry that many people go straight to the Coke in the store.  Its main competitor being Pepsi which does have a strong market share, but nothing like Cokes.  Coca Cola has made many memorable commercials because of their dedication to success.  They make an amazing product that brings happiness to people’s lives and they have an equally strong advertising campaign that reminds people of that happiness.
In the commercial I found on youtube it is a “feel good” ad.  It starts out showing people that look like they are not where they want to be during Christmas.  Then santa has a Coke and shakes a snow globe and everything magically gets better.  Everyone gets what they were looking for on Christmas; families are reunited, people fall in love, and a child gets a dog.  The commercial is going off the fact that when you open a coca cola you are opening happiness as well.

I personally believe that you have composed a well thought out blog post. You covered the pros and cons of the video and picked out what I find to be a good example of Coca Cola's marketing and advertisement. We both shared a lot of the same points such as Coca Cola making many memorable commercials because of their dedication to success and also a extremely strong marketing plan and many different advertising campaigns. Overall, I enjoyed reading your blog post and a good job well done.

I agree a lot with your response and had a lot of similar points in my response as well. I also talked about how coke tries to use "feel good" memories to associate there products with. I also used a commercial which shows happy moments and happy memories. I liked your response and thought it was very interesting to read. Ours we're very similar and thats what made it interesting.

I really enjoyed reading your blogpost. It related to me because i feel like we had all similar points. Although we had different videos they were very similar. They both showed that Coca Cola promotes happiness. I also really liked the commercial that you picked for your blog. It really shows how good at advertising Coca Cola really is
