Coca Cola: The Real Story Behind the Real Thing

Business and Society

I learned that Coca Cola was the number one drink brand and everyone loved it. They kept their business strong and steady because it was a special flavor that everyone enjoyed. At first they had actual cocaine in Coca Cola but they had to change it and take it out. They even changed their commercials so many times. Coca Cola had nothing to worry about until Pepsi came on to the scene than from that moment on they became rivals. The reasoning for Coca Cola changing their ingredients was because they needed some change and everyone was enjoying Pepsi more. That didn’t end very well; everyone was very upset and there were so many complaints on it that they finally decided to change it back to their old ways.

Coca Cola started becoming bigger than ever after they started having their own shaped bottles and they started buying other companies and making different products. Coca Cola really wants to know what people like and how to please them with the next big thing. They are very famous for their brand everyone around the world knows who they are and what their product is all about. The people that work there make it their job to have Coca Cola advertised everywhere they can possibly advertise it. They even make sure that when they get their products delivered they are the only people that handle the delivery right to the shelf.

Coca Cola today is still trying to improve their products because there is a lot more competition in these’s days than back then. In this day and age everyone is getting bigger and bigger because of all the sugar they put in drinks. People have tried to tell Coca Cola that they are getting fat because they are drinking their product; this is not true at all. The president of Coca Cola said himself that their product isn’t bad for you, you just can’t take a lot in all in one day than that’s when it becomes unhealthy.

I agree with you completely, this company is very highly known and throughout the exsistence of its been through many different types of market changes and prespective views. Although they had a few periods where Pepsi made a strong approach, they have yet to lose there market. There will always be a Coke out there as long as they keep with pleasing the consumer and always finding new ways to be innovative. In all i agree with your statements, Coke is a high demanding product and the HOME to many careers and jobs out in this world. Between all the private bottlers and comerically owned portion of Coke there are thousands and thousands of jobs always at stake.

I agree on how everyone loved the coca cola product and they were doing very good with business until they changed the product. There is a saying that says “don’t try to fix something if it’s not broken.” That saying applies to when they were trying to switch up the ingredients in the coca cola product just because Pepsi was coming out. You should not change the product, just the way you advertise it. One of the things they did right was changing the bottle shape. Little things like bottle shape catches the eye of consumers and makes them buy the product. When you walk into the grocery store, Coca Cola needs to make sure they are the first product that they see because buyers don’t have a concentration span of more than 10 seconds looking up and down the aisle. By having that bring red distinct label, people are attracted to that and will keep buying that. By doing all this you will get a higher ranking over Pepsi which is Coca Colas goal. Polled and surveys do blame Coca Cola for having too much sugar in their product but the ingredients say something else. The Coca Cola president even said that it’s your choice how many bottles you have, but if you limit yourself daily, you won’t get obese from the product. The drink does contain sugar because it is like an energy drink that keeps you going and energized. The product did contain Cocaine in the beginning because people use to drink it for that sole purpose of getting energized but that was soon changed. As the world was growing, they changed the ingredients to not have so much cocaine in it but it still does contain some to this day. Coca Cola does have a lot of competition because there are so many choices in drinks when you go out to eat. By joining with other companies does make the marketing of their product increase. Also by outsourcing their product around the world, that is a great tool to get the name out.
