Steve Jobs Assignment

There are many famous American entrepreneurs that have had a significant impact on the world we live in today such as Bill gates who invented Microsoft, Henry Ford whom invented the first self-propelled motor vehicle, and also Sam Walton who brought us the Wal-Mart Empire. There is one entrepreneur who stands out from the rest being Steve Jobs. He is the co-founder, chairman, and chief executive officer of Apple Inc. He made a big change in the world with technology from his entrepreneurship and his work ethic.
Steve Jobs designed, developed, and marketed successful lines of personal computers. He was a very intelligent man. Jobs provided advanced technology to the world in its simplest form.  After losing a power struggle in his company, Jobs left Apple only to find NeXT which was a computer platform development company specializing in the higher-education and business markets. He was also credited in Toy Story as an executive producer making Jobs Disney’s largest individual shareholder. Shortly after these events, NeXT was bought out by Apple bringing back Jobs to the company he once co-founded. After a short period of time back with Apple, he became permanent CEO of the company spearheading inventions such as the IPod, I Pad, and IPhone.
I personally believe that Steve Jobs is a pioneer and genius and also one of the world’s most successful entrepreneurs. He has profoundly changed the face of the modern world through his product design and innovations. Some of the management lessons to be learned are that you should always love what you do. You need to find what you love to do. Your work is going to play a large roll in your life and the only way to be satisfied is to do what you love to do. Jobs believes the only way to do great work is to love what you do and never stop searching for it. Retail has benefited from his innovations by buying his products for their business and using the advanced technology Jobs has provided for them to complete projects and such. There are many things we as students can learn from Steve Jobs. Jobs once stated, “Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.” This truly means to take risk and never let anyone tell you that you can’t do something or that something is impossible. Jobs success came from taking risks and going with his gut feeling. I find these words to be extremely wise and helpful to the youth of the world and encourages them to take risks to be successful in this world.
